Curly Whirly Brownies

Here's another recipe from Konditor & Cook's new book, its definitely becoming one of my favourites.

This time, Curly Whirly brownies, one of my favourite from their bakeries. A dense fudgy brownie topped with a swirl of cream cheese. I couldn't resist a drizzle of chocolate also.

Find the recipe below.

Paris

Last week I went a little MIA on the blog front. I popped over the waters to Paris to eat lots of eclairs and plenty of chocolat chaud.

Here's my round up of my favourite foodie finds. More of a picture heavy post than usual, I hope you don't mind.

Wheat-free Hazelnut Cupcakes

When one of your favourite London bakeries publishes a book, you get it.

The secret recipe of my favourite brownies in Town and of course the Curly Wurly cake that stole the show on Eurovision this weekend are now mine!

In a conscious bid to add more wheat-free recipes to my blog I chose to try out this hazelnut cupcake recipe. Completely and utterly worth it. This is by far the most moist cupcake you'll ever find and I'm enjoying the left over buttercream for breakfast, its that good.

So here's the recipe...

Onken Naturals: Mini Lemon & Pistachio Loaves

In the week I attended an event hosted by Onken where Celebrity Masterchef winner Lisa Faulkner lead a masterclass on cooking with yogurt. As part of Onken's Dollop of Difference campaign, Lisa took us through 3 easy recipes whilst nutritionist Angela Dowden was on hand to to tell us about the nutritional benefits of yogurt.

And the best part, myself and the other food bloggers got to roll up our sleeves and get stuck in. We made banana muffins, french onion dip and chicken tikka kebabs. All incredibly quick and easy to make.

Here's how I got on...

Edinburgh

A few weeks ago Boy and I jumped on a plane to Edinburgh for a few days. Here's some of our favourite foodie finds...

Marmite Salted Caramel Bundt

Its true, you either love it or you hate it.

Personally, I love using Marmite in cooking and baking. My favourite being these marmite baked rolls which are perfect when dunked into a big bowl of homemade soup.

Even the not-so-lovers cannot deny the rich malty flavour it lends to meat and sauces so well. If you haven't before, try a small dollop when making your next Bolognese, its the definition of savoury umami.

Lemon & Raspberry Easter Cake

I cannot get enough Mini Eggs. I love them so much I decided to make a Mini Eggs inspired pastel Easter cake. Maybe green wasn't the best of choice, but it's all the colouring I had in my supplies.

An ode to eggs...

"An egg is always an adventure, the next one may be different."
- Oscar Wilde

The humble egg: one of the most versatile of ingredients, or a meal within itself.

I love eggs; breakfast, lunch and dinner, or any time of day.

Raspberry & Rose Pavlova

When choosing what to bake for Mother's Day this weekend, I decided to pick a recipe from my trusty Mary Berry's Baking Bible. Having never made meringue (successfully) before, I decided a recipe from Aunt Bezza is one I could trust.

Easy Seed Loaf

Back to basics this week with my go-to loaf recipe and a few of my bread tips.

This crusty loaf involves very little effort and is very easy to change up the flavours.
